Few things in life are better than having a BBQ and beer with your friends and family. And there is nowhere in the world better to do this than Australia.
Australia offers perfect conditions for outdoor BBQs, with a perfect climate year-round and lots of large open spaces.
This makes it ideal to grab your friends and family and head down to the beach, river or park to spend a full day playing and enjoying a BBQ.
Today I will be sharing the perfect BBQ set up for camping and outdoor BBQs with friends and family.
The perfect BBQ set up
Having a BBQ that can be transported is key.
So when shopping for your next BBQ, I recommend going for a portable BBQ.
Opting for a portable BBQ will mean that you can take it anywhere, and use it at home as well.
A portable BBQ doesn’t mean it will be small. There are different sizes to choose from, depending on how big your group is. Portable BBQs are lightweight and easy to fit in the car and move around.
Packing for a BBQ
If you don’t go out BBQing often, packing can seem like an overwhelming task, but it really isn’t. This is everything you should pack for a BBQ:
- Your Portable Gasmate BBQ
- A table or BBQ stand
- Cooking utensils such as tongs, a spatula and a knife
- A chopping board
- Paper towel
- An esky filled with food (and beer)
- Oil, sauce, salt and pepper
These are the essentials. Some other things you could pack include a Gazebo, camp chairs, picnic rug, portable speaker/radio, stand up paddle board, kayak or fishing rod (for river BBQ’s) and other toys, such as a soccer ball or frisbee. The options are endless…
The better prepared you come, the longer you can stay for. And there is no better way to spend a day that outdoors.
My favourite things to BBQ
Interestingly enough, I am actually a vegetarian. But let me assure you that this in no way affects my ability to cook an amazing BBQ.
Some of my favourite things to do BBQ are:
- Veggie Burgers
Adventurer Deluxe 1 BBQ review
I have been using the Adventurer Deluxe 1 BBQ from Gasmate.
I selected this BBQ because it is lightweight and easy to transport, yet it has a generous cooking surface.
This makes it ideal for BBQs in the park and camping.
It has rotary ignition so it is super easy to turn, and heats up really quick. The hot plates can be removed and taken out to wash. You can even put them in the dishwasher. Overall it is a great BBQ.
