A money tree? I wish!

The truth is that I have paid for all my trips myself, with money I earned. Over the years I have learnt several strategies for saving money and I will be sharing the exact strategies I use with you.

But I am not just going to tell you the strategies that I use to afford travel. I am going to provide you with the resources to work out exactly what this means to you and how you can make it happen for yourself.

This book comes complete with two bonuses worksheets: A budget assessment and plan and a travel budget planner.

Who is this book for?

This book is for YOU if you are a high school leaver with a job and dreams to travel, a university student with a part-time job, a full-time worker with dreams to escape or someone with some savings, looking for advice on planning your trip.

Anyone in any job (or with savings) can implement these strategies and make it work for them.

Trust me!

I did it as a full-time student working 20 hours per week at Noodle Box and I made it work.

If I did, you can too!

Remember, I am just like you. I am a student (graduate), a worker, a bill payer and a dreamer.

What not to expect from this book

This book doesn’t have a magic recipe for affording travel. Unfortunately, there is no secret recipe, it’s simply possible through a mix of hard work and budgeting strategies.

If you’re looking to read this book and be able to afford travel instantly after, I’m sorry, but I haven’t worked out how to do that yet either.

If you implement the strategies in this book, you will be able to afford travel within 12 months (not overnight, sorry).

How long until I can travel and how long can I travel for?

This book is specifically focused on saving $6,000 in 12 months and travelling the world for a minimum of 3 months with $6,000.

But why this amount?

I have set this goal for you because it is REALISTIC!

I believe that anyone can save $6,000 in 12 months, and travel for 3 months with $6,000. In fact, I actually think you can save a lot more and travel for a lot longer in this timeframe if you really want to.

But I wanted to make the goal as realistic as possible for as many people as possible.

I find that being realistic with your budget assessment, travel budget and plans is the best way to achieve your goals.

To start planning your journey

Disclosure: These figures are a guide. Every person is in a different situation, so what works well for one person may not work well for others. This is general advice and I am not promising you results. The responsibility of the results is on you to achieve, using my advice and the goals I have set for you.
